A Culture of Excellence
Panekar Secondary School students regularly compete at local, regional, and national level — in academic, cultural, and sporting competitions. These events challenge our students to go beyond classroom learning and represent their school with distinction and pride.
Competitions We Participate In
From science labs to debate stages and sports fields — our students compete across every arena
Debate Championship
The Panekar Debate Club competes in the annual Lakes State inter-school debate championship. Students argue set motions on social, political, and scientific topics before a panel of judges, developing confidence and sharp reasoning skills.
National Science Fair
Science Club members present original research projects and experiments at the National Science Fair, competing against secondary schools from across South Sudan. Our students have earned podium finishes in the Physical Sciences and Innovation categories.
Mathematics Olympiad
Top mathematics students from S3 and S4 represent Panekar in the National Secondary Schools Mathematics Olympiad, tackling challenging problem sets across algebra, geometry, and statistics to compete for regional and national recognition.
Public Speaking Contest
Students from S1 to S4 prepare and deliver speeches on assigned themes — covering social issues, leadership, and national development. The contest builds confidence and oratory skills and is judged by community leaders and teachers.
Music & Cultural Festival
The annual Lakes State Cultural Festival brings together schools to celebrate South Sudanese heritage through music, dance, drama, and poetry. Panekar's choir and drama group have been consistent participants and award winners at this prestigious event.
Inter-School Sports Tournament
Panekar competes in the annual Lakes State inter-school sports tournament, fielding teams in football, volleyball, netball, and athletics. The tournament is the biggest sporting event of the school year and draws families and supporters from across the region.
